Interplay: Promotional Video Consent Form

Digital Writes would like to film a short session with your child as part of our Interplay project.

The filming will show pupils playing a small demo of the game, trying a simple digital design task, working together, and talking about their interests, strengths, ambitions and challenges.

The video will help us explain and promote the project. It will be used:

  • on the Digital Writes website;
  • on Digital Writes social media;
  • on a crowdfunding page for the project;
  • in material connected to Arts Council England funding and project promotion.

We may also use short clips, still images or quotes from the filming for the same purposes.

We will not use your child’s surname. We will not name their school, give their address, name any diagnosis, or share personal case-history details. We may use their first name if this feels natural in the video. Your child may still be identifiable from their face, voice or the context of the film.

The interview will focus on your child’s interests, skills, ambitions and thoughts about taking part in Interplay should we be able to secure funding. We will not ask for private family information, medical details or anything intrusive.

Your child will also be asked if they are happy to take part on the day. If they do not want to be filmed, or if they want to stop, we will respect that.

You can withdraw consent before the final video is published by contacting Keith at Digital Writes (keith@digitalwrites.org.uk). Once the video has been published online, we will remove it from places we control if you ask us to, but we cannot guarantee that copies will not already have been shared or saved by other people or platforms.

The footage will be stored securely by Digital Writes and used only for the purposes described above.
